Our Worship Services

The United Methodist Church of Kent now offers three different services, each offering a different style of worship. No matter which style of service you prefer, whether traditional, contemporary, or blended, we have a service where you’ll feel comfortable and welcomed! For information about volunteering for a role in our worship services, visit our volunteer portal.

8:30AM Traditional Service

Chapel1 This early service takes place in the Wesley Chapel, a unique, round building in the forward part of our facility. Our chapel seats 100, providing the perfect atmosphere for an intimate, personal worship experience. The service includes hymn singing and organ music; our music ensembles perform at the 10:30 Sanctuary service. Many attendees stay after the service for our University of Life adult Bible study class which meets from 9:30 to 10:15 each Sunday of the academic year. 9:30AM Contemporary Service

Contemporary ServiceThis service is a casual, relaxed contemporary service and is held in our gymnasium. With relevant messages from our Pastor and music led by our Worship Band, this service is exciting, engaging and educational! Many families attend this service, and our Youth Sunday School class for teens meets immediately after from 10:30 to 11:30. Children are welcome at the service, but childcare is available every Sunday in room 207 in the Education Wing. You can also participate in worship even if you can't attend in person! Just visit live.kentmethodist.org to watch the live stream each Sunday morning or view archived service videos.

10:30AM Blended Service

Main_Sanctuary1This service takes place in our Sanctuary, which seats 500. The hour-long service includes a children's sermon moment, after which children through the sixth grade can depart for Sunday School classes. This service incorporates weekly music from our Sanctuary Choir and New Spirit ensemble and also features regular performances from our adult and teen bell choirs, Resurrection (our teen choir), and our Children's Choir. The music is a mix of traditional sacred music and more contemporary spiritual songs. Click here for more information about our Sanctuary itself. You can also participate in worship even if you can't attend in person! Just visit live.kentmethodist.org to watch the live stream each Sunday morning or view archived service videos.
