A Prayer Breakfast sponsored by the Portage County NAACP will be held from 9 am to Noon on Saturday, January 16, at the United Church of Christ (across the street). Tickets are $10 and free for students under 18.
At noon, people will proceed to the steps of the Portage Municipal Court (303 W. Main St., Kent) for an event sponsored by the Kent Interfaith Alliance for Reconciliation and Justice, of which our church is a member. A statement by the Interfaith Alliance against divisive political rhetoric and for peace will be read. You can join in the breakfast, the event at the courthouse, or both.
