The Inauguration

Next week, our country will be having an inauguration; but this past Sunday, we celebrated a far more important “inauguration”—when we remembered the visit of the wise men, and how they acclaimed Jesus as the true king over all. This brings an important message for today! Even as we support our government, we recognize that there is a higher Authority, to whom all rulers are accountable, and to whom we owe our highest allegiance. This means that even as our rulers are flawed, we can have confidence in the One who is truly in charge of things! Along with the wise men, we acclaim Jesus as King, we look to Christ as our Guide and Savior, and we can find in Him real hope!
