Sanctuary Window 1—The Child—C

Welcome to another Windows Wednesday! Today, we are looking at the lowest portion of Sanctuary Window 1—The Child. Each window portrays different aspects of Jesus’ character, and the lowest portion of the window shows that trait in action today through the Holy Spirit. This lowest portion of The Child window shows a Sunday School teacher addressing his eager students. The United Methodist Church of Kent is very dedicated to its Sunday School and Christian Education program. Our Education Wing has 20 classrooms, and houses the church library, the new church archives room, and the Children’s Choir room. In addition to hosting over 40 children on average each Sunday, it is also home through the week to the Boy Scout troop 252, piano lessons, adult Bible study classes, the Tree City Preschool, and even rehearsals for the City of Kent children’s musical! As we approach the celebration of our bicentennial this Sunday, it is valuable to think about the interplay of our church community and the community at large. Let’s now reaffirm our commitment to providing local families with safe, fun, educational, and spiritual experiences.

Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray.
Proverbs 22:6
