Volunteer Opportunities

  • Welcome Ministry

The objective at each service will be to have people at each worship entrance (our usher/greeters) to provide a friendly welcome and to answer any questions people may have. The 8:30 and 10:30 hour teams will also be involved with the offering, and ushers at all hours will help with Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Those involved in the welcome ministry will set the tone for the service, which at 8:30 and 10:30 includes quiet reverence during the prelude music.
  • Lay Reading

Lay readers are those members of the congregation who volunteer to read a scripture passage during the worship service. Currently, we use volunteer lay readers for the 10:30 worship service only.
  • Fellowship Hour

Hosts for our fellowship hour set up and monitor the refreshments in Pierson Hall following the 10:30 worship service each Sunday. While making and bringing refreshments is encouraged, store bought items provided by the church are available.
  • Audio/Video Teams

Our audio/video teams are expanding and changing roles due to the increased emphasis on our online streaming ministry. To that end, the videos at the links below have been created to introduce the various responsibilities of a/v volunteers so that you can see how easy and fun contributing to this ministry can be!
