One of the highlights of the youth calendar is our church is “Youth Sunday.” It’s the one Sunday when the youth of our church lead us in the major portions of worship. I’d like to say thank you to all the youth who helped out whether you gave the announcements, read scripture, delivered the message, acted in the skits Sang a solo, or were a part of ZAMARingers your efforts are greatly appreciated, and Youth Sunday could not have happened without you. Everyone’s hard work and dedication to delivering a spirit-filled worship service was very evident on this day.

Our congregation will be recognizing graduates during the worship on Sunday, May 19 at 10:00AM. (Please note this special time as there will be only one service on that Sunday.) We will also be presenting gifts to the seniors as an expression of our congratulations and best wishes for their future. In preparation for this event, we ask that all graduates submit a senior portrait and a statement indicating their plans for next fall so that we can include this information as a part of our worship on that day. I am sure I speak for our entire church when I extend congratulations to you upon your upcoming graduation from high school. I pray that God will continue to bless and guide you as you take new directions in life.

Finally, on June 2 our Mountain TOP mission team will completed its training session in preparation for our trip on June 22. We are very excited to be sending 14 to the mountain to serve the people of the Cumberland Plateau. I look forward to sharing our experiences upon our return. Please pray for our group as they prepare for another exciting yet challenging trip.
