Be Ready

For what are you waiting in this Advent season?

Perhaps you are waiting for a package to come, or relatives to arrive, or for the hubbub of the whole season to be over!

The Bible encourages us to “wait for the Lord.”

The good news of Christmas is that the Lord comes to us with grace, and is ready to bless our lives.

We are urged to be watchful and receptive, that we may receive how God would work in us.

“Be ready,” Jesus said  (Luke 12:40) – so as to be open to the touch of Christ.

Sunday’s Scripture Readings:
Luke 17:20–21
Luke 12:32–40
