Bicentennial Celebration

On October 11, 2015, the church celebrated 200 years of Methodist worship in Kent. Rev. Ed Peterson, the Canal District superintendent, was the guest preacher. Special music was provided by the Children’s Choir under the direction of Sue Rose, and the Sanctuary Choir sang the Centennial Hymn, written by the late church member Prof. Edgar Packard for our centennial celebration, as the introit. The service was followed by a luncheon with food provided by the United Methodist Women.
