Volunteer Opportunities
Welcome Ministry
The objective at each service will be to have people at each worship entrance (our usher/greeters) to provide a friendly welcome and to answer any questions people may have. The 8:30 and 10:30 hour teams will also be involved with the offering, and ushers at all hours will help with Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Those involved in the welcome ministry will set the tone for the service, which at 8:30 and 10:30 includes quiet reverence during the prelude music.Lay Reading
Lay readers are those members of the congregation who volunteer to read a scripture passage during the worship service. Currently, we use volunteer lay readers for the 10:30 worship service only. Contact the church office to be added to the list of readers.Fellowship Hour
Hosts for our fellowship hour set up and monitor the refreshments in Pierson Hall following the 10:30 worship service each Sunday. While making and bringing refreshments is encouraged, store bought items provided by the church are available. Please click below to sign up for a Sunday.
Audio/Video Teams
Our audio/video teams are expanding and changing roles due to the increased emphasis on our online streaming ministry. If you have basic computer literacy and a desire to learn more about how our online services come together, please contact Adam Alderson.
Acolyting
We cherish the tradition of our youth bringing the light of Christ into the Sanctuary during the 10:30 worship service. Ordinarily, our confirmation class would fill this role. As we have moved to a bi-annual confirmation class, we currently need youth volunteers to fill this important role in worship. Please click the link below to sign up for any available Sundays.
